「世界中の全ての人々に電気のある生活を！！」そのような思いを持ちながら日々、無尽蔵とも言える光や熱などの環境エネルギーを電気に変えるための研究を約２０年以上に亘り、続けてきました。その一方で高専の教員として学生と実験や講義を通じて「環境やエネルギー」そして「未来の科学や技術」について考えてきました。

 

　とりわけ、近年はSDGs（Sustainable Development Goals：持続可能な開発目標）やSociety5.0などの背景のもと持続可能社会のための地球環境とエネルギーを理解し、世界各地域におけるエネルギーの有効利用と環境安全への取組を、国・地域を越えて実現できるグローバルな技術者の育成が重要となり、それらを支援する組織的な取り組みが必要であると感じています。

 

　しかし、初等教育から高等教育における長期的な教育課程を通じて、環境やエネルギー及びそれに関連した科学分野を”実践的な活動”で支援する組織的な取り組みは十分とは言えず、未来の人材育成への課題と言えるのではないでしょうか。

 

　そのような社会背景のもと、我々は産官学の風通しの良い連携のもと、これらの教育活動支援の充実を図ることを目的とし、特定非営利活動法人（NPO）エナジーエデュケーションの設立に至りました。我々の取り組みが未来のトップサイエンティストの育成の一助となることを願うと共に、世界中の５人に１人が電気の無い生活を送っている中、一人でも多くの人に電気のある日常をもたらせることができる取り組みに繋がることを切に願っています。

　我々は教育機関及びそれに属する生徒、学生への支援活動に加え、国際的なシンポジウムや研究会の開催を実現させ、国際的教育発展をも目指し、環境エネルギーやそれに関連した科学を基盤とした世界をリードする国際的教育の実現・普及に貢献するとともに、離島や発展途上の諸外国等に居住の先端教育に触れることの難しい子供たち等への広いアプローチを行っていきたいと考えております。

 　本法人が支援する「実践的な教育」は学びを必要とする方や組織へのコンテンツの提供のみに留まらず、キャリア支援、メンタルサポートを含む、多くの観点からのアプローチが不可欠となっております。ご参画頂いている名誉会員の皆様や関係する有識者が一丸となって、様々な活動を推進して参ります。

－Founder’s Message－

​

　“Electricity for everyone in the world!!” Guided by this vision, I have dedicated over 20 years to researching ways to convert the inexhaustible power of light and heat from our environment into electrical energy. Simultaneously, as a professor at a National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), I have worked alongside students to explore the future of environment, energy, and science through experiments and lectures.

　

　In recent years, driven by the global shift toward the SDGs and Society 5.0, it has become increasingly vital to foster "global engineers." We need professionals who deeply understand the relationship between our planet and its energy, and who can implement initiatives for energy efficiency and environmental safety across national and regional borders. I strongly believe that organized efforts to support this development are essential.

 

　However, existing long-term educational curricula—from primary to higher education—often lack sufficient organized support for "practical activities" in energy and related sciences. This remains a significant challenge for nurturing future talent.

 

　Against this background, we established the Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Energy Education. Our goal is to enhance support for these educational activities through transparent and seamless collaboration between industry, government, and academia. We hope our efforts will help cultivate the top scientists of tomorrow. Furthermore, in a world where one in five people still lives without electricity, we are deeply committed to initiatives that bring the gift of power to as many people as possible.

 

　Beyond supporting educational institutions and students, our mission includes hosting international symposiums and research groups to foster global educational development. We strive to realize and popularize world-leading education based on environmental energy and science. This includes reaching out to children in remote islands and developing nations who have limited access to advanced education.

 

　The "practical education" we provide goes beyond mere content delivery; it encompasses a holistic approach, including career guidance and mental health support. Together with our distinguished honorary members and experts, we are committed to advancing these diverse initiatives as one.
